Avoiding the air-fence and hospitals will be high on the ever-enthusiastic Cumbrian’s wishlist after a career that, so far, has been plagued by misfortune and, often serious, injuries. Married to a Ukrainian and living in Poland close to the border, he has been doing what he can to help the refugees desperately fleeing the Russian army.
