HOT British prospect Jordan Palin may have been thrown in at the deep end last season, but any fears that he might sink without a trace were quickly dispelled in what turned out to be a memorable year for the youngster with the title-winning Peterborough team, as well as second tier Scunthorpe. JAMES Sarjeant's 2021 campaign ended in painful and spectacular fashion at Edinburgh last month in what was widely seen as one of the worst crashes of the season. Now recovering from his injuries, the Redcar racer recalls: "The bike straightened up and took off and I was heading straight for the fence. You don't get much time to think about if you can do anything – you are just a passenger when that happens. I was heading towards where Richie Worrall was standing by the Grant Henderson banner and I just remember the look on his face as I was heading towards him!"
