NATIONAL Development League Mildenhall have signed Sam Woolley to replace the injured Josh Warren.
Woolley moves to West Row from Kent for the rest of the season having made 10 appearances for the Royals in 2023. Fen Tigers team manager Jason Gardner said: “It’s very tough on Josh and on the team that we are losing him for what remains of this season – just when he was getting right back to top form. “But all who saw that high-speed crash can’t be surprised to hear that it's going to take longer to get back to racing fitness. The whole club wishes Josh the very best for his recovery and thank him for his great efforts for the team this season. “We were aware that Sam was available to sign as a replacement and of course we did use him at reserve in our away match at his old club Kent the Sunday before last. “I’m delighted that we’ve formalised the position now and all welcome Sam, who comes in on a 3.00 points average, to the Fen Tigers ranks.”
