BIRMINGHAM have lost the services of James Shanes for the rest of the season following a grasstrack crash in Holland at the weekend.
The Brummie has sustained a broken arm and rib injuries. Team manager Laurence Rogers said: "Shanesie doesn't have much luck, does he? It's only a couple of years since his season ended early after a big crash on the grass and now it's happened again. "He's having his arm operated on but that's his season done unfortunately. Naturally, we send him our best wishes and wish him a speedy recovery. "I'm already working on guests for our meetings against Oxford this week and we'll have to take a look and see what happens after that."
