SHEFFIELD have made a team change by drafting in Jake Allen (pictured) to replace Stefan Nielsen.
Australian Allen, of Championship Scunthorpe, had an early season spell with Belle Vue in the Premiership before being released, but now gets another top flight chance with the Tigers. Sheffield co-promoter Damien Bates said: “Stefan has certainly been putting the effort in, but we thought he'd have scored a few more points by now to be honest. “Jake offers you something different, and we think he can bring a lot to this current team as well. “He showed glimpses of what he can do in the Premiership with Ipswich last year, including when he scored ten points the first time they came to Owlerton, and we've seen him have some really good meetings at Sheffield when we were in the Championship as well.”
