PATRYK Dudek is up to eighth in the World Championship standings after winning the German Grand Prix in Teterow on Saturday night.
The Pole saw off series leader Bartosz Zmarzlik, Fredrik Lindgren and Robert Lambert in the final to bank 20 points – five more than he scored in total in the three previous rounds. Dudek said: “I had a tough start to the season and those first three rounds were not good for me. But today everything was working okay. It was good to be back on the podium and I have some more points now. I am back in the game. Zmarzlik’s 18-point haul for finishing runner-up moved him into an 11-point lead in the standings, with neither of his nearest challengers at the start of the meeting – Maciej Janowski and Leon Madsen – reaching the final. • Report and pictures from Teterow in this week’s Speedway Star.
