THE season may be into its last week... but still the finals are coming thick and fast. Congratulations to the Colts of Belle Vue, who have been crowned National League champions for the first time since their ancestors won the then new Second Division in its first two seasons of operation in 1968 and '69. We reflect on the Colts' Grand Final victory over Eastbourne, as well as reporting on the first legs of the Championship KO Cup Final between Peterborough and Ipswich, and the third tier equivalent involving Eastbourne and Mildenhall. Meanwhile, the World Championship reaches a climax this Saturday in Melbourne where Jason Doyle can become the first Australian to be crowned No. 1 in his own country. The Swindon star gives us his thoughts ahead of the big day...

THE big meetings are coming thick and fast as we approach the final month of the season - and this week, our team of reporters has been here, there and everywhere following the top names of the sport. Paul Burbidge reports from Stockholm where Jason Doyle can almost touch the World Championship trophy after extending his series lead to a whopping 22 points with just two rounds to go. Don’t tell the Aussie star that, though - he remembers what happened in Torun last year! Back in Britain, we have full coverage of the Premiership and Championship play-offs, in which Swindon and Ipswich are the first two sides through to the finals respectively, plus reports and pictures from the NLRC at Leicester, where hot prospect Dan Bewley reaffirmed his burgeoning reputation with a 15-point maximum.

We have full coverage from Germany in this week’s edition, also including round two of the World Under-21s from Gustrow, plus Premiership play-off latest, grasstrack’s Masters from Swingfield and a look ahead to the Premiership Riders’ Championship.
