SOMERSET have announced two team changes after dropping Charles Wright (pictured) and Jonas Jeppesen in a shock move.
Joining the Rebels as replacements are Claus Vissing and Nico Covatti, who are poised to make their debuts in the Premiership clash with Poole on Wednesday night. The club have cited incidents that occurred after last week's win over Wolverhampton as their reason for releasing Wright."¨ Rebels team manager Garry May said: "It saddens me that we have found ourselves in this position because until now Charles has been a pleasure to deal with."¨But the events, which I am not prepared to go into detail over, left a sour taste in my mouth, detracted from our fine fightback and have led me to look elsewhere for a team member who can do a similar, if not better, job as Charles has done."¨ "In Claus Vissing, I feel that we have such a rider and I look forward to welcoming him back on Wednesday and working with him once again."¨ "I genuinely feel sorry for Jonas as I do believe that he will, in time, become a very able performer but I looked at the team and just felt that we needed a bit of shoring up at the bottom end. "¨ "Unfortunately for Jonas, he has been lacking track time and that has not brought him on as quickly as I had hoped, and whilst I have taken him out of the team for now I would like to think there will be an opportunity in the future to work with him once more."
