OXFORD have become the second Cab Direct Championship team to finalise their starting seven for next season.
The Cheetahs have this week named former Berwick and Redcar rider Jonas Knudsen (pictured), Premiership Sheffield’s 2024 Rising Star Dan Gilkes and 16-year-old Western Australian Mitch McDiarmid as new signings. Team manager Peter Schroeck has also confirmed Cowley returns for both Cameron Heeps and Jordan Jenkins, who join the previously announced Sam Masters and Luke Killeen in completing the side. Schroeck said: “We are looking forward to watching Jordan progress again in 2025, and developing into a heat leader within the Cheetahs team. His season was cut off cruelly in 2024. He is fully fit again and is super professional. I am really pleased to have Jordan back on board. “I’m very pleased for Cameron to be back in the team. He will be providing some vital back up for Sam in all those important heats. “Dan is a great guy with a very professional approach. He has done a brilliant job for us in the past, and I don’t think we have seen the best of him yet. “Jonas is another young up and coming rider who has shown great form at times and at just 16 years old, Mitch is a young man very much in demand. I am sure he will settle in really quickly with Sam (Masters), Cameron and Luke (Killeen) to support him.”
