DREW Kemp is on his way to Oxford to join the Premiership Spires.
The Berwick rider, who was recently dropped by Leicester to create space for the arrival of Craig Cook, will replace Lewis Kerr at Cowley in time for Monday’s match against Sheffield. Spires team manager Peter Schroeck said: “Lewis has admitted that since returning from his injury, he has not been able to score at the level he was at the start of the season, and I felt that we needed to do something to maintain our push for a play-off spot. “Lewis is a great rider and I want to publicly thank him for all his efforts under difficult circumstances. “This is an opportunity for Drew to demonstrate that he is capable of scoring good points in this league.”
