RORY Schlein (pictured) is to contest the British Championship for the first time after being handed a place in the semi-final at Newcastle on Sunday (April 30).
Schlein is a former Australian international but has UK citizenship and races on a British ACU licence, which makes him eligible to take part in this country's national championship. The Wolverhampton and Ipswich rider will face defending British Champion Danny King in the round on Tyneside, with the second semi-final due to take place at Sheffield on May 4.
