THE Championship Grand Final is finely balanced after Leicester opened a 12-point lead over Glasgow in Saturday's first leg at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena.
Tigers' Rasmus Jensen was the star of the show with a 15-point maximum and the Dane teamed up with Claus Vissing for what could be a crucial last race 5-1 that trimmed the deficit from 16 to 12 ahead of Tuesday's second leg. Leicester team manager Stewart Dickson said: "Glasgow will feel they have the momentum after getting that last race 5-1. The truth is I would have snatched your arm off to have a 12-point lead at the start of the night. "I was delighted with our performance. We dominated the meeting from the start and everyone played their part. "They had the outstanding rider in Rasmus Jensen but we had the team performance and that's what matters in the end." Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: "We had no luck at all and there were a few dubious refereeing decisions that didn't go our way. Craig Cook had an engine failure while leading a race and we didn't seem to get the rub of the green. "We haven't downed tools yet at all and I can't see us riding as badly at home, so I don't think we're out of it yet even if Leicester might think they have done enough."
